Now that “Super Saturday” has past for some retailers, others have decided to extend their store hours in hopes of attracting last minute shoppers with the extra time and deep discounted deals. This has become a serious Christmas Competition. I would be interested to know who will be shopping at 3:00 a.m. December 22 in Macy’s? There are some people, as Macy’s has done this in the past.
– Macy’s will have fourteen stores open 24 hours a day from December 21-December 23. This works out to be 83 consecutive hours of shopping time. Another twenty-seven of Macy’s stores will remain open until 2:00 a.m. during those days.
– Target will have some of their stores open until 11:00 p.m. or midnight during the days leading up to Christmas Eve Day. On Christmas Eve Target will be open until 9:00 p.m.
– Toys “R” Us is staying open for 112 consecutive hours from December 20-December 24 at 10:00 p.m.. Most of their stores open from midnight through 10:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. However, in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, some stores won’t be open at midnight and some stores will close at 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m.
– JCPenney will be open until midnight leading up to Christmas Eve Day.
– Kohl’s will be open 6:00 a.m. until midnight leading up to Christmas Eve Day.
– Sears will be open until midnight leading up to Christmas Eve Day.
– Walgreens will be open until midnight leading up to Christmas Eve Day.
– All Wal-Mart superstores will be open 24 hours leading up to Christmas Eve Day.
