Madonna and Lourdes Will be Living in a Material World

We loved Madonna’s music, in fact we still have some of her albums, but will we love her new ‘fashion line’? Apparently Madonna and her 13 year-old daughter, Lourdes, teamed up to create a new fashion collection for juniors which will launch in July, maybe August. But young women up to 25 may be able to pull it off.

Madonna designed a collection for H&M in 2007, but this time Lourdes was pushing for this collection. The collection style was “inspired by kids she sees in hip-hop and ballet classes, European influences, bands she listens to.”, Madonna said. This 13 year-old is so eager that she even goes to Mom’s photo/video shoots and offers input on outfits as well as to designer friends.

The name of the collection, ‘Material Girl’, how fitting. This will be exclusively sold at Macy’s just in time for those Back to School shopping trips and items will range from $13-$40. The collection will include clothing, footwear, handbags and jewelry. There is also talk of plans to launch a fragrance in 2011. I’m surprised there isn’t one already?
