Supergirl, Exclusively at JCPenney

I remember the days when I would strut around in my Wonder Woman underwear set and feel like I was the coolest superhero - of course I was about 4 or 5 years old, but I can still remember it vividly. The Olympic gold-medal gymnast Nastia Liukin has partnered with JCPenney so young girls can feel cool like a ‘Supergirl’ wearing her new collection. JCPenney is part of the ‘Supergirl Jam‘ which is produced by ASA Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Comics. Supergirl Jam features 100 top female athletes, including both professional athletes, as well as up-and-coming amateurs.

It is a DC Comic superhero branded clothing line designed and styled by Liukin’s team. Liukin is looking for the young girls, ‘tweens and teens to get into this new line. Liukin wants to encourages a message of empowerment, creativity, strength, intelligence and independence – and the symbolic attributes of the iconic Supergirl S-Shield will certainly add to that. It is essentially created for girls ages 8 to 12, and the collection will include signature Supergirl T-shirts, fleece, dresses, tunics, knit pants, dancewear, leggings and shrugs. The retail prices range from $20 to $38. You can buy the clothing online and in stores. Nastia will also be making a personal appearance at some of the JCPenney stores — July 31 - Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, Tx.; Aug. 7- Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill.; Aug. 21 - Glendale Galleria in Glendale, Calif.; Aug. 22 - Venice Beach in Venice, Calif.; Aug. 28 - Florida Mall in Orlando, Fl.
